Our Story

ROCK. This is the word that God used in 2010 to personally minister to Otis L. Robinson, Jr about starting a ministry in Phenix City, Alabama. After a period of prayer and fasting, he and his wife, Brante’, along with 10 faithful members obeyed the voice of the Lord and started having bible study in their home in May of 2011. They had their first official worship service on Sunday, June 5, 2011. The first sermon was entitled: “A True Foundation.”

The first church service was held at the Roy Martin Center in Phenix City, Al. Services were held at this location every Sunday while their first building, located a few blocks away, was under reconstruction. God begin to build their faithfulness and commitment to the ministry immediately, as they set up and broke down music equipment and chairs every Sunday. Additionally, due to construction setbacks on the anticipated church location, instead of the originally planned four week contract commitment with the Roy Martin Center, the contract had to be extended an additional six weeks.

The first service in the newly renovated building, located at 801 14th Street Phenix City, Al., was held Sunday, August 28, 2011. Just as He had been at the Roy Martin Center, God was present in His people and blessed the ministry, as members, family and visitors came together and worshipped God on one accord. The first sermon in the new home was entitled: “There’s No Place Like Home”.

As partner members started joining, the ministry moved forward, In March of 2013 the church relocated to 1415 Highway 280 Bypass in Phenix City, Al., and God continued to do a marvelous work through the ministry. Several new members joined the church and the children’s ministry begin to grow and thrive.

It was at this point that Pastor O, as he’s affectionately known in the ministry, along with Pastor Brante’ and the Foundation Point Church family begin to pray and seek God about a new location with more space. Soon after, they moved into an old historic church in Columbus, Georgia located at 1516 5th Avenue and  had their first service there on December 25, 2016.

In July of 2018, God begin to place a fresh vision in Pastor O’s heart for a return to Phenix City, Alabama and in December of 2018 Foundation Point Church relocated back to Phenix City in the old Video Warehouse building at 1713 E 280 Bypass. Join them Sunday mornings at 10:00am.
